There are different types of Sales Jobs
within the career, and different levels of sales positions. Sales
Jobs can range from call-centers (where the representative make
outbound and receives inbound calls and does business or sets up
deals over the phone) to Sales Executives who travel to corporate
headquarters in person and present a business solution to executive
officers of the corporation.
There are other types of Sales Jobs, such as
retail sales, delivery routes (bread, beer, etc.) and handling
customer orders by telephone. Most of these Sales Jobs are not
filled by college graduates.

categories of services Sales Jobs. Outside services sales
representatives call on clients and prospects at their homes or
offices. They may have an appointment, or they may practice "cold
calling," arriving without an appointment. Inside services sales
representatives work on their employer’s premises, assisting
individuals interested in the company’s services.
Telemarketing sales representatives in Sales
Jobs sell over the telephone. They make large numbers of calls to
prospects, attempting to sell the company’s service themselves, or
to arrange an appointment between the prospect and outside sales
representative. Some services sales representative deal exclusively
with one, or just a few, major clients.

require a persuasive
personality with high energy and motivation in what is being sold.
The salesman must truly believe in the product before he can
convince anyone else.
