solving employment and training related challenges; and also help

The Idaho
Department of Labor provides vocational guidance and Idaho Jobs
services to assist individuals in a rapidly changing world of work.
Rapid technological development and a competitive global economy
force career changes for workers in what once were considered stable
occupations. Young adults seeking to enter a competitive and
changing labor market must make career decisions at much earlier
age. To assist these and other individuals in making good career
development choices, the trained Job Service staff can provide
guidance, interest and aptitude testing, access to labor market
information, decision making tools and job search
assistance.
Veterans
Services: At Idaho Jobs service, they believe that those who stood
first in line to defend their country should also be first in line
to reap the benefits of freedom: a fair chance for a good education,
a good job and a good life. Veterans receive first priority referral
to all Idaho Jobs and training opportunities for which they are
qualified. In most Idaho Jobs service offices, generally there is a
consultant who specializes in helping veterans find the jobs and
opportunities for which they qualify.
Job Clubs: Some
Idaho Jobs service offices provide Job Clubs for their local job
seekers, at no cost. A Job Club is a group of job seekers who meet
on a regular basis. The job seeker normally joins the Job Club upon
completion of a Job Search or Transitions Workshop. Job Clubs are
very beneficial to the job seeker as they provide a support system,
and can help to keep the job seeker
motivated.
Resource
Centers: All Idaho Jobs service offices contain an Employment
Resource Center. These centers are
staffed by knowledgeable employees ready to assist customers fully
use the facility. Each Employment Resource Center has computers with
a wide variety of programs that can help customers enhance their
work seeking skills, find local, regional and national job
opportunities, investigate training and education, obtain labor
market information, learn about the use of computers and word
processing programs, improve their typing skills and test their
keyboard proficiency as well.
