In his State of the Union message President Bush pledged to help Americans find good jobs. He promised new Federal domestic programs and continued strong support for the job rich Departments of Defense and Homeland Security. In addition, the President promised new programs or increased support for programs ranging from law enforcement and intelligence to faith based charities.

In his State of the Union message to Congress and the nation President Bush spent the first half of his address on the war in Iraq and the international crisis, and the remainder on domestic issues and programs. The result of the President’s initiatives domestically and internationally will be continued strong support for Federal spending and Federal Jobs creation.

Government Jobs opportunities: Most funding for the President’s new proposals needs to be authorized by Congress. In mid-February the Administration will begin the process of obtaining that approval by delivering to Congress its Budget for fiscal 2005. The government’s fiscal year begins in September.
